The Hybrid Chick is looking for some Paper Crafters!

The Hybrid Chick is looking for some fresh, new Chicks to join our team! What are the requirements and perks of joining the team you ask?

The only requirement to being a Hybrid Chick is one blog post/tutorial a month BUT you are free to be as active in the community as you’d like.

Some Hybrid chicks are very active (like a site Creative Team member) and others pop in to the forum to
pick their blog post date and that’s it. Both are totally acceptable!

As a Hybrid Chick, you are welcome to anything in the store that you want to create or scrap with provided that you use it in a reasonable time. Scrap a page, create a Hybrid project, join in a challenge, complete a layout ahead of time for a challenge, host a CT challenge, scrap with new releases for the newsletter, tweet/post of facebook – any or all of the above to whatever degree you want.

Going Hybrid is a great way to combine Digital Scrapbooking with your traditional supplies such as rubber stamps, copics, die cutters, etc.

You just have to do one monthly tutorial/project on THC blog to remain a member of THC team.

Requirements:
1 blog post (project photos and tutorial) per month
{Additional projects are welcome, but not required}
Perks:
Opportunity to create layouts/projects with new products
for The Digichick weekly new release newsletter
To apply:
Please send the following information to
luann at thedigichick dot com
your name & username
why you want to be a Hybrid Chick
link to your gallery and/or blog
a list of your current teams
and
a little about yourself
Call ends Oct 29, 2012

Back to School Blog Hop with Kelleigh Ratzlaff

It's Back to School Season around here and for the first day of school, I like to start off with a sweet twist from the apple for the teacher. Who wouldn't love a paper apple filled with chocolate to get them through the day?

The perfect pumpkin template from Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs was perfect for this project and made it easy to create an adorable project in minutes!

First, I attached papers from Owen's Room by Wishing Well Creations to the template and printed out the shapes to be cut and assembled. I cut and assembled the pieces to create the bottom and top of the apple.

Then, I added a paper bag stem by lightly misting it and twisting it into the shape of a stem, attaching the stem with glue dots.

Finally, I cut out leaves and curled a paper vine by wrapping it around a pencil. Instant sweet teacher's gift in minutes!

Want more back to school inspiration?  Visit these blogs for more awesome projects!

Be sure to leave a comment on each of the blogs!  Kelleigh will choose one random comment from one random blog to win $10 to her store!

AND, leave a comment here on Kelleigh's blog telling her which of the projects was your favorite!  One random commenter will be chosen to win $10 to her store!

Winners will be announced on Monday morning!  Have fun hopping!  And enjoy going back-to-school!
